Dear Church Family & Friends,
Just wanted to give a 'quicky' update this evening…
We brought Donna back for her 'Mapping' this afternoon. (Mapping' is the process of deciding where to radiate and where not to radiate Donna's tumor location. They made a mask last Thursday for Donna to wear over her head during her radiation. Unfortunately, they decided that the mask that was made is no longer any good. Long story short, we'll need to have a new mask made Thursday morning at 9:00 AM in Decatur, GA, then she will need to have it 'mapped', then we will go to Gwinnett Medical for the first radiation treatment. This should be a long day!
On the bright side, the Lord continues to amaze us with the strides that Donna is making. She continues to walk well and at a brisk pace! She was working with going up and down stairs this morning. She can also get her arm over her head at about 90-95%.
Many folks tell us that half the battle with fighting a cancer is the patient's attitude. I'm pleased to tell you that Donna is bound and determined to get home and to run her house her way!
As always, our prayer is for the Lord's will to be done, for the tumor NEVER to return, and for Donna to return back to a normal life.
Also, thank-you all for the encouragement through the cards and Emails that ya'll have sent. This nightmare is going on 3 weeks and its still overwhelming the love that everyone is showing! THANK-YOU AGAIN!
