Dear Church Family & Friends;

Just a quick update on Donna's condition for ya'll.

Donna continues to be a miracle right before our eyes! She is making strides in all areas; she is walking without her cane most of the day, she is doing more laundry (Hooray!), she makes the bed each morning - a month ago she could barely move her right arm & leg! Amazing!

She now has 3 weeks to go with her radiation therapy. The hair that came back so quickly after the surgery is beginning to thin and some is even starting to fall out. Such a small price to pay for the gift of renewed life!

As you may have heard, we went to Emory this afternoon. We had a 2:00pm appointment to meet with a neuro-oncologist. Couple of things happened with the insurance company, and I'll spare you the details, but we finally got in to see the doctor at 4:00pm. (It really wasn't that bad - the time went by quickly as the two of us just chatted with each other.) We finally met with Dr. David Lawson.

Anyway, after speaking with the doctor, who is a regular oncologist, but consults with a neuro-oncologist at Anderson in Houston, we have 3 options at this time. We can 1.) wait some additional time after the November 21st MRI, maybe three months, and do nothing, 2.) take an IV chemo named BNCU or 3.) take an oral chemo named Temodar.

We would ask for your prayers as to which option we should pursue. We are leaning towards the Temodar as I have seen many good things about it on the Internet. If we do proceed with the Temodar, Donna would take the first round in December. This would be taking one caplet a day for 5 days, then taking 23 days off. The side effects are nausea, however it is my understanding that it can be readily controlled with anti-nausea medications.

Our prayer continues to be 1.) The Lord's will to be done in this situation, 2.) the this tumor NEVER EVER returns within Donna's body, 3.) That any side effects be minimal, and 4.) that Donna's November 21st MRI is clear.

As always, thank-you all for your prayers. We love you all!

In His Name, Service and Love,

Frank
