Dear Church Family & Friends;
Here's your update for the week….
Donna presented her testimony to our church this past Sunday and shared what the Lord has done for her over the past 8 weeks. She addressed us for about 4 to 5 minutes. If you would like to read the transcript, I've posted it on our Sunday School page at www.coed4.org . I posted this at the request of several folks. Please take the time to go there as it explains what she said and explains the setting that it took place. It was a really touching and moving moment in my life to see my better half presenting the peace that the Creator of the Universe has given her! I don't mind sharing with ya'll - she was awesome!
Donna has two more radiation treatments left, one tomorrow and she finishes up Monday. In the mean time, we are still waiting on Emory to get the pathology slides from Gwinnett Medical [It appears to be nothing more than a clerical error.] Once the slides come over, they will re-grade the tumor, and then they will be in touch with us hopefully by next Wednesday or Thursday. At that time, we will meet with Dr. Lawson, the oncologist again and plan a regiment of when to take the Temodar chemo. If you would like to read about Temodar, here is a link for you: http://www.virtualtrials.com/temodar
Donna is also going to be trying to get out of the house some now that the radiation is coming to an end. The big side effect with radiation is extreme fatigue and she'll take several naps during the day. Once she is done next week, it may still take her a few weeks before she feels that she has more energy, but she will be going out some. This past week we went Krogering, [shopping at the local Kroger supermarket for those who may not know what a Kroger is!], went to a neighbor's house, and stopped by a local gift shop.
The boys continue to do well - their grades are holding up and they are as involved with church activities as ever. By the way, Thomas won first prize in his Christmas Gift Sale contest. Thanx to everyone who bought something from him!
We also had some other good news this week - Donna's sister Angela and her family, will be moving to Georgia. They have purchased a house not too far from where we are. They should be here around Thanksgiving!
As always, our prayers are for 1.) the Lord's will to be done, 2.) that the tumor NEVER EVER return, 3.) any side effects will be minimal, 4.) that her November 21st MRI is clear.
We'll see you next week! We love ya'll!
In His Name, Service & Love,
Frank
