Dear Church Family & Friends,

Clear!!! Another clear MRI!!! Praise the Lord!!!

Donna had her latest MRI this past Thursday; on Friday, she met with her oncologist, Dr. Lyod, who called to get the results, and in turn called us Friday evening with the news that the MRI was once again clear!!!

I must admit that Donna was getting pretty anxious about this scan. Wednesday evening at church, the MRI was our prayer request. Our Pastor, Bobby Linkous, had one of the best prayers I have ever heard - [paraphrased] "Lord, we prayer for the doctor's to say once again, 'I don't understand, but the MRI is clear'".

When Donna met with Dr. Lyod Friday monring, he noticed that her blood counts dropped a little. This is probably due to her continuing chemotherapy treatment with the drug Temodar. As Dr. Lyod said, he expected these counts to drop a little, but he thought that they would have dropped a year ago! Since they are down, he told Donna that he wants her to delay her next round of chemo for one month.

On Monday, we will be meeting with Donna's brain surgeon, Dr. Princewill Ehirim. We are expecting to hear some news regarding Brain Tumor treatments as he was scheduled to go to a brain tumor conference in February.

Together with the information from Dr. Princewill and Dr. Lyod, we should get a clearer picture of how long Donna will be taking chemo. She has completed 13 rounds at this point, the first six were monthly and the last seven have been every six weeks.

As a side note, Donna was able to come with me on a short business trip to south Florida recently. She did well on the trip and there were no real problems or hassles to speak of - except the usual stuff at security. We had a wonderful time! Yes, the kids did not come with us!

Her web site (www.coed4.org) continues to generate new inquiries from folks who have recently been diagnosed with GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme). In effect, we have established an Internet Ministry for Brain Tumor victims and families. We thank our Lord that we are able to provide comfort and information to those who have had to face this terrible disease.

Last year, Donna also started speaking to church & civic groups about her miracle that the Lord has given her. She also shares how we all have hope in Jesus and is a wonderful witness for the kingdom. She is scheduled to speak at a Mother-Daughter dinner in May for my friend Linda's church.

If you would like to have Donna speak to a group, please let us. She enjoys speaking and sharing her story with others.

Otherwise, her job at the church is going great. Life has pretty much gotten back to normal around here. Donna has taken control of the kitchen back from me (Praise the Lord!) several months ago and is cooking as well as she always has.

Our prayer requests remain, as always, for 1.) The Lord's will, and not our will, be done, 2.) For the tumor NEVER EVER to re-appear, 3.) For the next MRI to be clear and 4.) For all of her side effects to disappear.

We also would ask for prayer for the folks who contact Donna through her web site as they are always desperate situations. Also, we have a number of friends looking for employment at this point, several other health concerns with other friends and one special request for a friend's father.

As always, we thank-you for your prayers and support during these past 18 months. (Yes - its been that long!) Everyone on this list is special to us! We thank the Lord for you!

In His Name, Love & Service,

Frank
