Dear Church Family & Friends,
The miracle continues! Praise the Lord! Donna continues to do amazingly well! This past week has been a real blessing for all.
Donna had a chemo week last week. This has been her 5th month of taking the chemotherapy called Temodar. To date, this has been by far been the ‘easiest’ month for her yet! She basically has had almost no nausea at all with this cycle. Incredible!
We have other good news to share! On Sunday of last week, Donna felt like she could get behind the wheel again she wanted to drive. She drove around the corner to her sister Angela’s house and then back home as she didn’t want to push it. Over the next few days, she started to drive a little more each day; being careful not to get into traffic. Actually, she drove herself back & forth to work at the church today!
We also had a great day last Thursday. On that day, we went to see the folks who helped Donna at Joan Glancy the rehab hospital that Donna went to after her surgery back in August and September. When we walked in, several of the staff folks remembered Donna and were taken back by her presence. One nurse that we visited told us that it was a real blessing to see her again. As she told us, given her diagnosis of a Glioblastoma, the staff there had just assumed that Donna would have passed away by now. The one nurse that we visited with made that point to me very clear while we were there they knew that she was going to die. Obviously, they have not seen the power of prayer too often!
If you are new to the Donna Update list, I need to share that the day before Donna’s operation, out of 32 deacons from our church, 40 came to pray over her, to ask the Lord to heal her body. In 2 Kings, Hezekiah became ill to the point of death. He prayed and wept to the Lord to be healed. The Lord heard his prayer and healed Hezekiah. He added 15 years to his life. I believe that the Lord heard our prayer that day, and he saw people weeping for Donna, and He answered our prayer and has granted our request to heal her. Thank-you Jesus!
Our prayer continues to be 1.) For the Lord’s will in this situation, 2.) For this tumor NEVER EVER reappear within Donna’s body again, 3.) That any side effects from any treatments be minimal, and 4.) For Donna’s next MRI in may to be clear.
Again, thank-you all for your prayers and help at this most difficult time in our life. We could never adequately express our gratitude to you all. Thank-you.
In His Name, Service & Love,
Frank & Donna
