Dear Church Family & Friends;
We have some wonderful news….we learned today that Donna’s second MRI Was clear!
Earlier this week, Donna had some abnormal feelings on her right side. Because of this, we decided with our doctor to push up our March 6th MRI to as soon as possible. As it turned out, we were able to get the MRI completed yesterday on the 6th, and were able to see the doctor today.
We meet with the neurosurgeon, Dr. Princewill Ehirim at 3:00 to discuss the results. When he first came in, he told us, "I don’t understand, this just doesn’t make sense." You can image how we felt, but before it could sink in, he continued, "Your MRI is still clear; you don’t have a tumor."
He went on to tell us that people in the brain tumor business (his words, not mine!) just don’t see cases like this very often. He also told us that he has never had one that has done as well as Donna. While he has read about long term Glioblastoma survivors, he has never seen one that has recovered like this.
The abnormal feelings that happened Monday was evidently a false alarm just one of those things that happens after you have had a brain tumor. We asked Dr. Prince if he had any brochures or web sites that he could direct us to that could explain some of the things that we could expect during the recovery process. He told us that there really wasn’t any because there are so few people that recover from this type of surgery/tumor.
The Lord is so Good! He has blessed our family beyond anything that we could ask for or imagine! We are so thankful for what He has done for us!
We give Jesus all the glory & honor on this one! He really did it!
We cannot thank all of our friends for the prayers that you have offered on our behalf. Just please know that we deep appreciate them!
Our prayer requests remain: 1.) For His will to be done; 2.) For this tumor NEVER EVER to reappear in Donna’s body again; 3.) For any side effects from any treatments to be minimal; 4.) For Donna’s next MRI in 3 months to be clear. (The date has not been set yet.)
