Dear Church Family & Friends,
Once again, Donna has had another clear MRI. She is now 4 years out from her surgery! Praise the Lord!!! Donna had her latest scan last Thursday, and we learned today that this one is also clear!
Aside from that, we have had a busy summer - we went to my sister's wedding in New Jersey a few weeks ago. While we were there, we went to NYC and played tourist for a week. It was nice showing areas of the city to the kids and being able to show them different things that they have heard Donna & I speak about for years.
Frankie starts college next week. It seems hard to believe that it was 4 years ago that his first day of High School was the same day that Donna had her brain surgery. Thomas is a junior this year and is as busy as ever with the books. Donna spends her time speaking with other folks who are dealing with brain tumors that we meet through the web site. And, she spends as much time as she can at the church working in our Out Reach area.
Donna and I will celebrate 20 years of marriage this October 6 and we will be celebrating as we only know how - on a cruise! We haven't booked one yet, but I'm sure there is one out there for us!
Our prayer requests continue to be for 1.) The Lord's will and not our will to be done in this situation, 2.) For the next scan to be clear, 3.) For this tumor never ever to reappear, 4.) For all of Donna's side effects to disappear.
Also, please remember 2 other situations in your prayers. We have met several folks through Donna's web site and it is easy to get very close to these folks. Unfortunately, many have either passed away or remain very ill. Also, please remember the folks in Florida who are suffering from the effects of Hurricane Charley. I have an Aunt and a cousin whose homes have been damaged by the storm. Praise the Lord, they are safe.
There could be much more to write about, but it is just 'normal stuff'. And that is an answered prayer - to restore 'normal' to our house!
