Dear Church Family & Friends;
We received word back on Donna's pathology report late yesterday, and the news was rather discouraging. The report showed that the specific tumor was malignant - it was classified as a Grade 4 Astrocytoma. This type of tumor will recur at some point in the future. The mode of treatment is radiation.
Her doctor also stated that they will be doing MRI's every three months to look for changes.
I will be telling the boys on Friday afternoon that it looks like we are in for a long road of radiation and treatments.
On the positive side, Donna was able to move her hand this morning! She will be moved to Joan Glancy Rehab Center in Duluth GA at some point tomorrow. I'm not sure what the visitation procedures are, but if everyone could refrain from stopping by, it would help her a lot. When you send Email, I do print them and bring them with me to read to her.
I wish that I had had better news to share with you all. It appears that we have much more in front of us than we first thought.
We are praying specifically for 1.) The Lord's will to be done in this situation; 2.) For a complete & total healing of my wife's body & mind.
Thank-you all for your prayers, thoughts, dinners and love. (And especially for the chocolate chip cookies from Carlie Linkous & Linda Smith - and who ever else may have had a part in that!)
In His Name, Service & Love,
Frank
PS - If you were in Donna's BSF class over the last 2 years or so, I had a call from Suzanne but was unable to get her last name or number off the answer machine - it got garbled. She called for an update and I wanted to respond to her since the BSF crowd are great prayer warriors! Thanx!
