Here's the story with Donna's condition.
We met with the neurosurgeon this morning after he reviewed the MRI that was completed yesterday. While he is unsure if the tumor/growth would be malignant or benign, he does know that it must come out. While we will be trying to obtain a 2nd opinion, it does appear that Donna will be operated on next Friday morning at 10:00. The Dr. feels that she would be in the hospital for about 3 days or so.
On the bright side, we have been blessed that the tumor is up towards the top of the skull, which is very accessible. He stated that from a technical standpoint, this procedure should be relatively easy. (As far as brain surgery goes!) He felt that it would be about 3.5 or 4 hours to do. At this point, it would be about the shape of a half-dollar.
Please be specific in your prayers for my wife that this is a benign tumor and that this situation is corrected as soon as possible.
Also, we have been overwhelmed with the love and concern that everyone has shown. While it is tough to contact everybody, we want to let you know that we appreciate the phone calls & Emails.
